Issues with Registration of a Sample

First, check that the species you selected during registration matches what you ordered (dog, cat, bird, or rabbit). Instructions for dogs/cats/rabbits should be in the swab kit we sent you; for avian/mammal sexing, instructions should be in the order confirmation email.

Dog, Cat or Rabbit Testing

If you’re registering a dog, cat or rabbit swab, make sure you’ve entered the full number next to the barcode. This should begin with “RD” followed by 8 digits (unless it is a different swab type, in which case it may be 6 or 14 digits). Double-check you’ve entered it correctly, as the swab number is tied to your order.

Avian Sexing

For avian sexing, select avian as the species then enter your order number. This will generate a Sample ID for you to label your feathers with before sending them back to us. The return address is in the instructions.
